BEFORE THE FALL

Blackened acres, burning corn … the harvest dew.

Before the fall the party evenings … danced for you.

Farewell my friend, you lived for now … like a Queen of Wands.

Swelling streams in rushing voice … do you hear the voice?

Reminding us we nearly drowned in swamps before the fall … It was the first cold day.

But a day in very essence is the centre of a life; we must love this day!

For it is all. A day is all.

As the jigging wind whispered change … and the rise of truth.

Is it you I hear within it calling … “Freedom is the proof!”

You lived, you died, you're living now … beyond our wildest dreams.

Your perspective must be very live … you see what we don’t see.

Ruffled files of mixed emotions, friendship on its knees …

The troll beneath our bridge.

But we know that we can roll it, we could not hope to control it; we will learn one day!

For it is all. A day is all.

Autumn shadows; the smell of roasting sensimilla … you did love.

Before the fall we learned to be strong … you’d have loved that too!
